Holden Aveo

These are my idea of how the Aveo might look when it’s available in Australia as a Holden. The front of both sedan and hatch gets the same grille that’s seen on Holden Captiva. While the sedan has a less aggressive looking headlights. I wonder if it’ll be called Holden Sonic.

Hyundai ix20 replaces Matrix

Comparing the official new Hyundai ix20 (left images) to my Matrix renderings (right images), I dare say I was correct back in September 2009, to have predicted the new Matrix will just be the Kia Venga with new front and rear designs. Hyundai has usually been less enthusiastic when designing and/or facelifting the MPV range.

Above two renderings first appeared on Paul Tan’s site on 20 April. While above and below renderings were later featured in Inside Line on 29 April. From most of the comments posted on both sites, these Magentis/Optima renderings seem quite popular and well received.

Kia Forte 3-Door Hatchback

The 3-door Forte hatch not only looses two rear doors, but the front gets the Koup’s bumper too. And the side-rear window’s shape has changed. At the back, the plate area has been moved to the bumper. And the rear wind-screen has been tidied up too.

It is hard for us to pick one that sets the other apart, but both does represent exceptional value for money, and not at the expense of style, comfort, build quality and safety. Winners of our car of the year are Kia Forte and Peugeot 308 Turbo.
