That name looks like an emoticon. Anyway here I imagine a compact Jaguar XD hatchback to take on Audi A3, BMW 1-Series and Mercedes-Benz A-Class. I’m keeping it rear-wheel driven.

Huge fan of your work, I have a suggestion. With a recent article on Jalopnik suggesting Ian Callum would love to design the next Tata Nano, How about a Jaguar variant of the existing model? Including interior.
I think those proportions could well translate into Jaguar-ness.
PS. Also, the Bolt and Zest may be more suitable candidates for a A-Class/ 1-series competitor, but perhaps Jaguar needs to spend more time building brand cachet.

The rear could look better if the rear lamps adopts those of the current XJ
