I agree with Pandamasque, maybe not a shooting brake but a coupe would at least have to be a 2+2 to compete directly with the Toyobaru coupes.

No, no, no, that doesn’t work. Make a fastback coupe or Shooting Break. That looks like one of those stupid hardtop convertible.
And, of course, the new MX5 looks not so pretty like the older ones.

Mazda needs to make this happen. It’s beautiful. It’s reminiscent of the FD RX-7.
