I hate this new Scandinavian design moto for Volvo. Damn ugly. Too much lines, curves. It looks messed up. It looks similar to the the new Hyundai design wave, although Hyundai establishes their cars exterior better. And look at that rear. With rear that high it supposed to be a hatchback. “We want a base of three strong sedans, where the 80 would be the top, a 60 and maybe something replacing the 40 somewhere down the road; and then three strong XCs, those would be our priorities, XC90 at the top, XC60 and somewhere down the road something more under an XC60″.
So, somewhere down the road Volvo will introduce S40. This fall XC40 (or V40 XC) and after that S40.

Great Design, so much better than the V40. I like Volvo wagons because they are practical but this new V40 is awful at the back half, your design is so much better and would be my choice as a liftback.

This comment is months in the making, but honestly, Theophilus… I think this is your best rendering yet. I could see myself buying this car over the Chevy Cruze, if only it existed.
