Mercedes-Benz CLC

According to Autocar, Mercedes-Benz’s AMG operation is preparing to enter Europe’s premium compact sedan segment with a four-door saloon-coupé version of the third-generation A-class, as previewed by the F800 Style Concept from last year’s Geneva Motor Show.

The junior CLS is expected to take the name CLC into production. I much prefer if they call it CLE, as people usually associate CLC with that dated 3-door hatchback based on obsolete C-Class underpinnings, marketed to be a coupe. Anyway this new CLC is set to be marketed aggressively in North America as part of renewed efforts there to attract younger buyers to the Mercedes brand.
