Buick Electra

4 Jun

Autoblog reported that the Chevrolet Volt may debut in China as a Buick model. This is not surprising, afterall Buick is GM’s best performing brand over there.

I hope Buick’s version of the Volt get more than just a new nose (as did Opel/Vauxhall Ampera), and get a new face instead. Above rendering wears the face of Buick Riviera Concept from Auto Shanghai 2007. The Riviera Concept was jointly developed by General Motors and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC).

I had previously named this Buick as the Riviera. But after much feedback and advise from the guys in CarSpyShots.net, it’s now called Electra. Do check out my other Volt-based renderings, the Saab Elektrisk.
