Lada Niva

10 Dec

Renault and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin have agreed a plan to save ailing carmaker Avtovaz from collapse.

Renault and Nissan both expect to build ‘value’ cars at Avtovaz’s Togliatti plant from 2012, as well as all-new models under the Lada brand. With a production target of 900,000 units annually, around 650,000 units are expected to be Lada-badged.

So we all know how the new Dacia Duster looks, and how much I like it. So this is my rendering of the new Lada Niva, essentially a strip and basic 3-door Duster. By the way the old Lada Niva is another car I strangely like a lot.

i like the old lada niva as well. especially from the front… had a cute yet strong look. i like the round lights with the signal lights just above them. the rear was not so well executed though but then, so was the design capability of eastern bloc countries during the time.

i would have really liked if if they updated the old look for today… with a better looking butt and dashboard.
